I retired on October 31, 2009 as I no longer can work without feeling the pain from my right shoulder. I had 3 SURGERIES on my right shoulder and one on my right area near between the shoulder & neck in which was denied by OWCP and the other threes were approved by OWCP. I have had been drawing my Civil Services annunites since then. Wonder if I should file a disability retirement payment for it? Thanks & hope to hear from you soon.

George, can’t you go on APWU website & find that out. What step level you were affects the amount doesn’t it? I have been a rural carrier & I can go on our website & find out what the pay scedule is.

I retired 1/6/2011. I would like to work. I know I can make 80% of my salary. I was a clerk level 5 now they are 6. No one give me a answer I just want to know the amount.

I had two back surgeries and cannot perform any duty. Just answering the telephone and do the computer work. Now I don’t know if I should file for the disablitiy under FERS or CSRS.please advise, with only 17 years and a life time of pain, Thank you USPS.
